Call online

Make calls online from your browser.

Open a tab, type a number, and talk. LapLine turns your browser into a phone that shows your own number, quotes the price per minute before each call, and charges one prepaid balance.

New accounts start with up to 3 free trial minutes, so your first call online is free.

Who calls online

Sales and recruiting calls abroad
Call clients and candidates in other countries from the browser you already work in, with a verified number for each market.
Calling home from another country
Reach family, banks and offices at home without roaming charges or an international plan. Calls use Wi-Fi or mobile data, not the minutes of your phone plan.
Teams on one balance
Invite members, so several people call from one shared prepaid balance and the owner sees what each member spends.
Calls from your AI assistant or your code
The same account works through the LapLine MCP server and HTTP API, so an assistant can look up a price or place a call for you.

Questions and answers

Can I call a normal phone number from my browser?
Yes. LapLine calls mobiles and landlines in the countries its provider prices and permits. Enter the number in the dialer and it tells you the price per minute, or that the destination is not available.
Can I call online for free?
Calls between two apps are free when both people use the same app. A call to a real mobile or landline costs money, because the phone network charges to connect it. LapLine gives every new account free trial minutes, up to 3 minutes depending on the destination, so your first call online is free. After that you pay the quoted per-minute price from your prepaid balance, with no subscription.
Do I need to install an app to call online?
No. LapLine runs in an up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. You can install it as a web app from the browser menu if you prefer an icon on your home screen or desktop.
What number do people see when I call online?
A number you own and have verified. LapLine calls that number once during setup to confirm it is yours. You can verify up to five numbers and choose which one to show before each call.
How much does it cost to call online?
Each call costs the destination rate of the number you dial plus a small fixed per-minute price for the browser connection and the call bridge. The dialer shows the total per minute before you call, and you pay per started minute from a prepaid balance.
What do I need to make calls online?
A browser with microphone access, a headset or the built-in microphone, a stable internet connection, a phone number you can answer once for verification, and a card to add money to your balance.
Can I call online from my phone too?
Yes. The browser on a phone works the same way and the web app can be installed on the home screen. Calls use Wi-Fi or mobile data, so they do not use the international minutes of your phone plan.
Is calling online cheaper than calling with my mobile plan?
Often, but not always. Compare the live per-minute quote in the dialer with the international rate of your carrier for the same country. There is no subscription, so you only pay for the minutes you use.
